Membership insurance

selected option

Enhanced membership has been designed for shooters who decide to take their shooting to the next level, and travel to events in Scotland (and other parts of the UK) to compete. Shooters who travel and compete will likely have invested in their own firearm which is why public liability, personal accident and equipment cover is provided.

  • Public Liability (up to £10,000,000).
  • Personal Accident Insurance (up to £50,000).
  • Personal Equipment Cover (up to £10,000).

Complete membership is designed for shooters who want to test themselves outside of the UK and shoot at events across the world.  We therefore take the insurance cover from our other memberships and add on worldwide travel insurance.

  • Insurance to support the legal costs for personal criminal prosecution defence.
  • Worldwide Travel Cover for Shooting Activities.

Club Plus provides clubs with the following insurance cover:

  • Public, Professional & Products Liability (£10m).
  • Employers Liability (£10m).
  • Directors & Officers Liability (£5m).
  • Abuse (£2.5m).
  • Club Equipment Cover (up to £10,000).

As every club is different, we have agreed with Marsh Sport that our members can contact them directly and agree personal terms to build on the cover our Club Plus members receive so they can have the peace of mind that they are suitably covered.

The policies' limits are as follows:

  1. Public Liability – £10,000,000 each and every claim.
  2. Professional Indemnity - £10,000,000 each and every claim and in the aggregate.

Personal Accident and Travel Insurance

If you become injured whilst participating in an STS activity, you can incur some significant financial losses as a result. Personal accident insurance can help offset some of these unexpected expenses. This insurance can pay out a set amount if someone is injured in an accident and the benefit can be a lump sum or a weekly amount.

Who is covered and when?

  • Any Enhanced or Compete member is covered for Personal Accident
  • In addition Complete members also receive Travel Insurance

Operative time:

  • Whilst participating in any authorised activity of STS including direct travel to and from any authorised activity of the Insured within Britain

What are the benefits?

  • Please note that the policy is not designed to replace your usual income in the event you are unable to work following an accident.

Reporting an incident

It is important that all incidents that may give rise to a claim, however minor, are reported to Marsh Sport as soon as possible after the event.
