Team personal accident insurance

There's no substitute for personal accident insurance

If you become injured whilst participating in a club/team activity, you can incur significant financial losses as a result. Personal accident insurance can help offset some of these unexpected expenses.

Protect your players, committee members, managers, trainers and assistant referees/officials in the event of a personal injury.

Changes to the way you renew or purchase cover from the 2023 to 2024 season onwards

  • NGIS personal accident insurance for all adult and youth teams in England will now be available to purchase through your County Football Association at affiliation.
  • Full details of the new process for administering personal accident insurance will be included within the affiliation pack, which your County Football Association will provide.

This insurance can pay out a set amount if someone is injured in an accident and the payout can be a lump sum or a weekly amount (depending on the level of cover you choose). It ensures all participants have protection in the event of an injury and because this is a non-negligence cover it can help reduce litigation in the game, because unlike a liability policy you do not have to find someone to be at fault for an injury to receive compensation.
